For many years, I have been an avid weather nut, storm chaser and photographer. I often post on the Australian Weather Forum as “Didjman”. I live north of Melbourne and am a member of the CFA (since after Black Saturday 2009). Being passionate about weather, I love to get amongst it – even being outside to film the rare snow event at home in Wallan last winter as the snow was falling. Photographing clouds, lightning (still pics) and recording thunder in full dynamics – not to mention recording and producing slomo lightning video clips – rounds out my documentation of weather phenomena. Having purchased a drone and soon to be licensed, I will use the drone for stills / video of approaching storms (getting above trees and obstacles for the best views). I hope you enjoy reading my blogs about weather and share my passion for it!
